After reading Da vinci code

Da vinci code sometimes appears like pulp fiction, a rather hurriedly done thriller.. with the people not having time to solve the mystery as some emergency or the other pops up. But, One thing made me think.....

The importance of female dieties.. In my community (Nair, Kerala, India) has a surprisingly good treatment of the female giving her more respect compared to others societies since time immemorial.

Sometimes, the lead diety of a temple, the 'bhagavathy' does not have any form, and is often represented by a shining metallic miror.. and there is also a vessel or a chalice called the 'kindi' which is something similar to the combination of male-female characteristics as mentioned in the book....

My suspicions became more pronounced when it was mentioned in a nat geo programme that Mary of Magdelene had travelled in a boat after the life of christ.. it seems she had reached south of france.. if she could reach france, she could reach kerala too ;-) ...

Then, there is the fact that Apostle Thomas landed in craganaore (present koduangalore) in 8th century AD.Why did the Apostle come to kerala of all the places? Maybe the fear of Mary magdalene? and to preach the gospel as it is known today? looks like stuff for another Da Vinci Code..
